Raipur: Police Tightens the Grip on Mounting Crime Cases, 5 Arrested on the Charge of Theft in Trains
Raipur: The GRP and RPF police forces through their joint venture havearrested Saurav Burande (30), on the charge of theft in moving trains. The booked person was allegedly involved in theft across the WRS Colony in Raipur and Lakholi Railway Station. Police have rescued stolen items from the one whom they arrested.
A handbag containing a gold chain, gold ring, ATM card, mobile, and cash, belonging to a female passenger traveling in the Trivandrum-Korba Express was stolen. The accused stole the handbag from the moving train and absconded.
Apart from this, he stole a handbag from another female passenger traveling in Puri-Gandhidham express, which contained gold and silver jewelry, cash, and a mobile phone. Through a joint venture, the GRP and RPF police forces seized the accused and booked him. Police have found a cash amount of Rs. 1,26,000/- and stolen items worth Rs.500/- from him.
The police force in Raipur Mana Camp, through Operation Clean, has seized an Innova car numbered CG-04 HA 4919 at NH-30 near Dumartarai; the car was containing foreign liquor worth Rs. 1,32,000/-. Police have arrested accused Vinay Bisen (19), Siddharth Sonkuwar (20), Sanjay Kumar (29), and Kamalnarayan Sahu, and taking action against them under section 34(2).
