Madhya Pradesh 363 for 3 pitches towards victory in the first innings against Mumbai in the finale of the Ranji Trophy today. 11 runs including a couple of boundaries in the last 2 over by Rajat and Aditya took MP past 350 run mark. After being denied the wicket of Rajat Patidar, Shams Mulani, dismissed, Yash Dubey who scored 133 with 14 fours, breaking a partnership between Yash Dubey and Rajat Patidar
Rajat Patidar started on an aggressive note as MP neared closing in on Mumbai’s first innings. Patidar carried on from where he left off in the IPL. In a match as big as the Ranji Trophy finale, the right-hander smashed a 44-ball 50 to put MP in command. Hardik Tamore took a sharp catch behind the stumps after Yash got the outside half of his bat.
A day earlier, Madhya Pradesh restricted Mumbai to 374 after Sarfaraz Khan smashed his fourth century this season. Yash Dubey and Shubham Sharma had stitched together an unbeaten 76-run stand for the second wicket and brought down the deficit to 251.
