Rhea Chakraborty Questioned for More Than 10 Hours By CBI, Summoned Again
Actor Rhea Chakraborty was questioned for more than 10 hours by the CBI yesterday regarding the demise of her friend and actor Sushant Singh Rajput. She has been summoned to show up for questioning today as well by CBI.
Sources state Rhea Chakraborty’s statement was recorded by Nupur Prasad, the official leading the CBI group. The CBI is investigating charges by Sushant Singh Rajput’s family that she and her family mentally harassed the entertainer, took cash from his accounts and had a potential role in his passing in June. Her sibling Showik is also being flame broiled by the agency.
The two of them are being questioned separately and will be checked for irregularities in their forms, state sources.
Chakraborty, who appeared before the CBI for the first time on Friday, had left the DRDO guest house complex in Santacruz a little after 9pm, said an official.
The CBI team, which is in the city for the last last days to investigate Rajput’s death case, had on Thursday recorded the statement of Rhea’s brother Showik Chakraborty. It has so far questioned Rajput’s flatmate Siddharth Pithani, cook Neeraj Singh and domestic help Deepesh Sawant, among others, as part of its probe in the high-profile case.
