RT-PCR Test Mandatory for Passengers from 5 countries

New Delhi: RT-PCR test will be mandatory for people coming to India from China, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, and South Korea. Not only this but if found corona positive, these passengers will also be compulsorily quarantined. This is announced by Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya today. He said, soon an order will be issued regarding this. 

Random Covid testing of international passengers arriving at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport has been started. An order from the Ministry of Aviation has been issued for international passengers coming from China, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Thailand. Under this, it has been made mandatory to fill out the Air Suvidha Form to declare the current health status.

Apparently, Corona’s havoc is increasing in China. The figures presented by a top authority of the government are shocking. According to the authority, the number of infected patients is hidden in the official statistics of China. The authority has expressed apprehension that more than three crore cases may have been reported in a day. This figure is the highest in the world in a single day. However, it has not been officially confirmed. 

India on the other hand is also seeing a surge in cases. In the last 24 hours, 201 new cases of corona have been reported in the country, which is 38 more than the previous day. With this, the total number of infection cases in the country so far in the entire pandemic has increased to 4,46,76,879, while the number of patients under treatment now has increased to 3,397.

The death toll in the country has risen to 5,30,691 after Kerala added one case to its tally of deaths following a reconciliation of the figures, according to the Union Health Ministry’s data updated till 8 am on Saturday. According to the ministry, the daily rate of infection has been recorded at 0.15 percent and the weekly rate at 0.14 percent. A total of 90.97 crore samples have been tested for the detection of COVID-19. Of these, 1,36,315 samples have been tested in the last 24 hours. More covid management protocols are to be expected soon.
