CG Home Minister Reacts to Peace Treaty by Naxalites

Raipur: Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu reacts to the peace treaty put forth by the maoists community in CG. Sahu asserts that the Maoist community should whole heartedly accept the prinicpals laid in the constitution and practice them religiously. The comment was made while Sahu interacted with the media at the airport after he returned from Rajasthan.

The statement came after the Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee of the Communist Party of India (Maoist), spokesperson Vikalp a released a press note on May 5 accepting to CM Baghels invitation for peace. In the press note the naxal commity demanded the removal of ban imposed on PLGA, and mass organizations. It also demanded the armed forces stoppes bombarding their lodgements and vacate the camps in their areas. The press note also demanded the release of the leaders of the maoist community.
