Seven-Time MP Mohan Delkar of Dadra and Nagar Haveli Commits Suicide

Silvassa: Mohan Delkar was an independent MP from Dadra and Nagar Haveli. He started off by representing Dadra and Nagar Haveli in parliament in the year 2004 as he was the congress party president from the area.

But he quit Congress in the year 2019 and made his way through contesting elections independently and winning again to prove his mettle.

His body has been found in a Mumbai hotel where the police claim, a suicide note has also been found. In a statement to the media, the Mumbai police said, “A suicide note has been found. Investigation is being done. The exact cause of death will be known after the post-mortem”. He is survived by his 2 children and a wife. 

The body of the seven-time MP has been sent for a post mortem report and further investigations are on to prove whether it is a case of murder or suicide.

Though the police sources say that primary investigations reveal it is a suicide, the police do not want to leave ant stone unturned to investigate the matter behind the death of the 58-year-old MP, Mohan Delkar.
