New Delhi: Many critical problems were discussed at today’s meeting of the United Kisan Morcha’s core committee. The meeting’s decisions, as well as the future approach, will be discussed tomorrow. Following the cancellation of the three agricultural laws by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the farmers unionresorts to a new strategy. Only after the meeting will the farmers’ next approach be revealed. The United Kisan Morcha released a statement indicating that their fight is still ongoing. He stated that the protests will continue until a law ensuring a minimum support price is enacted.

The United Kisan Morcha claims that the central government’s inflexible stance is to blame for the’murder’ of farmers in Lakhimpur. Morcha has maintained its demand that Ajay Mishra Teni, the Central Government’s Minister of State for Home, be fired. According to reports, Congress officials will meet with the families of the 700 farmers who died as a result of the agitation. Candle marches and rallies will be held in addition to this.

Sources reveal SKM union leaders, Rakesh Tikait wasnt present at today’s meeting at the Singhu border. A conference of Punjab’s jathebandis was also held today. Th meeting witnessed representatives from 32 different organisations. MSP is also a huge question, according to farmer leader Rakesh Tikait, and should a legislation be formed on it as well, because the produce that the farmer sells is sold at a cheap price, resulting in a big loss.
