- USD 820 million announced as military aid to Ukraine.

Kyiv: United States of America on Saturday announced yet another military assistance to Ukraine worth USD 820 million. Ukraine has also been promised draw down equipment by USA up to USD 50 million, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement. Another USD 770 million will be provided to Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative Funds which will take up the total figure of assistance to USD 6.92 Billion since Russia initiated military operations in Ukraine.
As far as other developments of this war situation are concerned, the Russian forces departed from the Snake Island after almost four months. Located at about 25 miles off Ukraine’s south eastern coast, Snake Island witnessed air strikes, artillery and rockets from Ukraine’s side that pushed the Russians back. The southern regions of Zaporizhia, Kherson, Mykolaiv and Dnipropetrovsk are under continuous shell attack by Russian troops. The Russians are doing everything to halt counter attacks from Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the Russia Ukraine war was started on February 24 this year which forced 14 million Ukrainians to flee their homes as per the UN numbers. 2.2 million Children in refugee hosting countries are now in need of humanitarian assistance.
The Washington Post reported that since August 2021, it is the 14th military weapons and equity transfer to Ukraine by the USA.
