- Virat Kohli slips down one position from being no.1 in the MRF ICC Men’s ODI ranking for best batsman
- Pakistan’s Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman secure places in the top 10

Sports: Pakistan team captain Babar Azam secured the first position in ICC men’s ODI ranking for the best batsman. Earlier team India captain Virat Kohli held the position which has now been secured by Babar. With 865 points on the rating table, Babar Azam tops the list ahead of Virat and Rohit who have 857 and 825 points respectively.
Apart from them, Australian and New Zealand players also secured positions in the top 10 list that includes players like Aaron Finch, Ross Taylor, David Warner, etc. Fakhar Zaman of the Pakistan ODI team holds joint 7th position with Faf du Plessis of the South African team. There is another Indian player in the top 20 list, i.e., Shikhar Dhawan who holds 17th position in the ranking list.
Recently, the Pakistan ODI team played against South Africa where they won the series by 2-1 and Babar scored a massive 94 runs in a match. This helped him achieve the position in the ICC best batsman rankings. Fakhar also played well during this series that also helped him secure the 7th position in the list.
