State all Prepped Up to Welcome PM Modi for the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas
- PM to visit Bhopal to mark the celebration of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas.
- Will also inaugurate the revamped Rani Kamalapati Railway Station.
- Will launch several tribal development and welfare schemes at the event.
Madhya Pradesh: Preparations to welcome PM Modi on the occasion of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas on November 15, the birth anniversary of Birsa Munda in Bhopal. He is set to address nearly 200,000 tribals from Madhya Pradesh, and neighbouring states at an event being held at state’s Capital historic Jamboree ground.
As per his itinerary, he will arrive at Raj Bhoj Airport by a charter plane at 12:30pm. His tour would begin with a visit to the tribal art and by the SHGs of the state would be displayed along with memories of the tribal heroes. At the event, PM would launch several tribal development and welfare programs. Amongst them is the ‘Ration Aapke Gram’ scheme that shall be launched. It is aimed at delivering the monthly quota of PDS Ration to beneficiaries from tribal community in their own villages every month so that they don’t have to travel to the Fair Price Shop to collect their ration,” said PMO.
Additionally, Modi would also hand over genetic counselling cards to beneficiaries, and lay the foundation stone of 50 Eklavya Model Residential Schools across the country in states and UT including Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tripura and Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu.
At 3pm Modi, would head to inaugurate the redeveloped Rani Kamalapati Railway Station, 2021. The redeveloped station is the first of its kind project executed under Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode. The station is redesigned as a green building with modern world class amenities that also takes into account ease of mobility for specially abled. Prime Minister will also dedicate to the nation multiple initiatives of the Railways in Madhya Pradesh which include Gauge Converted and Electrified Ujjain-Fatehabad Chandrawatiganj Broad Gauge section, Third line in Bhopal-Barkhera section, Gauge Converted and Electrified Mathela-Nimar Kheri Broad Gauge section and Electrified Guna-Gwalior section. Two new MEMU trains between Ujjain-Indore and Indore-Ujjain will also be flagged of by the PM.
The Madhya Pradesh government has dedicated November 15 as Janjatiya Gaurav Divas, to remember the revolutionary hero Bhagwan Birsa Munda on his birth anniversary. Birsa a proclaimed saviour of the poor and downtrodden, had launched a revolt against the adoption of the zamindari system, which replaced the traditional land ownership system, and also spread the message of spiritual transformation.
