Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh : The 73rd Republic Day brought a major shift in the schdedule of the government employees of Chhattisgarh. CM Baghel unfurling the flag at Jagdalpur, announced a slew of major policies drafted for the states progress.
A big one amongst them stood the renewed working policy for state employees, according to which government’s employees will now have a five day working week only.Taking to twitter, Baghel made the announcement. His post read- “In a bid to increase efficiency and productivity of government employees, Chhattisgarh government is implementing five-day working week. State government’s contribution in a pension scheme will also be increased from 10 per cent to 14 per cent.”
Aiming to uplift the economic status of the farmers , the govt also decided to purchase all pulses under MSP from FY 2022-23, pulses shall also be procured at MSP. Also, a sum of Rs 20,000 each shall be deposited in the bank accounts of registered labourers for the first two girl children. Furthermore, as a motovation for business ventures by people from Other Backward Classes (OBC), Baghel announced amendments to the industrial policy accommodating 10 per cent land parcels for OBC businesses. He also inaugrated ‘Mahila Suraksha Prakoshtha’ in every district to ensure safety for women.
Sikkim became the first state in India, followed by Maharashtra to introduce 5-day working week for all State Govt. employees.
