Striking Rise in OPD Raises Concern Amongst Health Officials

Raipur: A surge in the seasonal disease in the state has been registered after the out patient department of the Chattisgarh Institute of Medical Science ( CIMS) recorded nearly 1527 new patients on Tuesday. Several of them have been approaching the medicos with the complaint of cold and fever sources reported.

According to health authorities the complaints being treated are seasonal and would subside with time. However, if the symptoms persist beyond two-three days, residents have been instructed to get themselves checked for COVID-19 and take necessary precautions if needed.

The rising OP since Monday has been a sight of worry for the Health officials of the state.With several states witnessing widespread rainfall due to the northeast monsoon, the risk of dieasese like dengue have rose significantly. National Capital has reported the highest record of dengue in five years with 7,128 cases so far.
