Supplementary Budget Released on Day 2 of Budget Session

Bhopal: Day 2 of the Budget Session in the State Legislative Assembly saw the presentation of the supplementary budget of more than Rs 15,232 by Finance minister Jagdish Dewda

 According to officials in the know, a provision of Rs 10 crore was made for the voluntary grants of the CM. Apart from this Rs 742 crore were outlay for the employees in the National Pension Scheme.  For upliftment of the Atal Krishi Yojana and Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan Sambal Yojana, a provision of Rs 3,415 crore and Rs 228 were made respectively. To promote the Jal Jeevan Missions nearly Rs 610 crore were side-lined sources confirmed.

Responding to the query raised on survey of damaged crops by Priyavrat Singh during zero hour, home minister Narottam Singh said that the survey was underway and would be submitted by the Collectors.

Apart from these Provision of Rs 122 crore are allocated for the promotion of micro, small and medium industries. Provision of more than Rs 3000 crore has been sidelined for mid-day meal program. The Ladli Laxmi Yojana fund has been allocated a sum of Rs 200 crore. Another 100 crore have been sanctioned for the relief of the victims of floods and heavy rains.

In response to the ruckus created over the allegations of unemployment, Dewda announced the formation of ‘Rojgar Mulak Aarthik Sahayata‘ for providing financial assistance in employment creation for the youth belonging to Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe, Other Backward Classes and minorities. The government, under this scheme, has allocated Rs 60 crores for ST, Rs 40 crore for SC and Rs 50 crores for OBC and Minorities. SC, ST, OBC and minorities accounted for over 90% of the state’s population.
