Suryakumar Yadav retains No.1 Position in the ICC T20I Rankings

Mumbai: India’s new star Suryakumar Yadav continues to top the latest ICC T20 rankings in the batting category. He has 859 rating points and is 23 points ahead of second-placed Mohammad Rizwan. Rizwan has 836 rating points. Apart from Suryakumar Yadav, there is no other Indian batsman in the top 10. Virat Kohli is in the 11th position. At the same time, Hardik Pandya is included in the top 10 in the all-rounder rankings. He is in third place. Apart from Hardik and Suryakumar, no Indian player is in the top 10 of the T20I rankings.

Suryakumar scored three half-centuries in five innings in this T20 World Cup and reached his career-high 869 rating points. However, he managed only 14 runs in the semi-finals and has 859 rating points. In this World Cup, he scored 239 runs at an average of 59.75 and a strike rate of 189.68. He was the third-highest run-scorer in the tournament. 

The players of the England team that won the T20 World Cup have also gained a lot in the ICC rankings. Alex Hales, who scored an unbeaten 86 off 47 balls in the semi-final against India, has jumped 22 places to reach the 12th position. Hales was England’s second-highest run-scorer in this World Cup. In the T20 World Cup, he scored 212 runs at an average of 42.40.

New Zealand’s Devon Conway is fourth and Aiden Markram is fifth. Babar Azam and Riley Rousseau have also gained ranks in the list. Babar scored a half-century against New Zealand in the semi-finals and has moved up one place to number three. South Africa’s Riley Rousseau has moved up to seventh, ahead of New Zealand’s Glenn Phillips in the eighth position. 

England’s Adil Rashid has gained the most in the bowlers’ rankings. He performed brilliantly in the semi-final against India and the final against Pakistan. Rashid took 1/20 against India and 2/22 against Pakistan. He has gained five places and has come in third place. 

England’s Sam Karan also took three wickets for 12 runs in the final against Pakistan and also became the player of the match. He has gained two places and has reached the fifth position. Sri Lanka’s Vanindu Hasaranga remains at the top. Whereas Rashid Khan is in second place. Shakib Al Hasan, Mohammad Nabi, and Hardik Pandya occupy the top three spots in the rankings for all-rounders.
