Three Accused of Smuggling 51 Kgs of Ganja

Madhya Pradesh: Acting on a tip-off, ACP Sachin Atulkar seized 51kg 450 mg of Ganja from smugglers in the Gandhi Nagar area. Reportedly the smugglers intended to carry the Ganja to Doraha, Orissa via Mandideep bypass.

On searching the vehicle, the contraband was found in the trunk of the car in the Gas kit. Apart from this Ganja was also discovered from the soundbox of the car.

Three accused travelling in the car have been arrested. The accused are identified as Deepak Pal, a resident of Giriraj Heights Lalghati; Wajid alias Mota, a resident of Sehore, and Asif a resident of Shymala Hills.  

On interrogation, it has been understood that the accused would buy Ganja from Makanpuri in Orissa and sell it in the retail market. Police teams have been engaged in tracking the network, said sources.
