Two Naxalites Nabbed from Dantewada District; Each Held a Bounty of Rs 2 lakh

Chattisgarh: Security Personnel at Dantewada district arrested two Naxalites carrying a bounty of Rs 2 lakh each on August 24. The arrested Naxals have been identified as Pandu alias Mangu Mandvi (23), and Hurra alias Korma Sodi. Both have been identified as members of the West Bastar Naxalite team while the latter served as a member of the Mobile Intelligence team from the Hiroli Dakkapar area of Kirandul police station area.

As per police official’s statements, the DRG and district forces were deployed in search of the Naxalites after they received a tip about their activity in Kirandul.

Officials reveal to have recovered two Tiffin bombs, electric wire and other items of 5 kg and 3kg each from their possession. The arrested Naxalites have reportedly been involved in mass killings, vandalism and attacks on police stations.
