Two Women In Kerela Beheaded As Human Sacrifice

Elanthoor: A shocking case of human sacrifice was today reported in Kerela wherein two women has been murdered in a ‘human sacrifice’ ritual in Elanthoor village near Pathanamthitta, around 120 kilometers from Kochi.

According to the Kerela Police, the two women were allegedly abducted, beheaded, and buried as part of a suspected ‘witchcraft ritual’ to gain financial prosperity at Elanthoor village.

According to the Police, an agent from Perumbavoor in Ernakulam district lured two women from Kaladi and Kadavanta area for a couple to conduct a ritual in the Pathanamthitta district. The arrested persons were identified as Bhagaval Singh, a local massage therapist, and his wife Laila, both natives of Pathanamthitta, used to attend patients ar his home. The couple has been taken into custody from Elanthoor and Rasheed alias Muhammand Shafi, a Perumbavoor native who suspected to have brought the now deceased women to the house of the couple.

“He is the first accused in the case. The arrest of the healer and his wife would be recorded soon. The women were taken to the healer by Shafi on the promise of money. They adopted a very cruel method to kill the women”, said the Kochi City Police Commissioner C H Nagaraju.
