Ujjain: While evaluating the law and order situation, the Madhya Pradesh government has given Ujjain Police the number one position in the state due to its efficient working style. Jabalpur has got second place. This list was released during the video conferencing of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday interacted with the administrative and police officers of the Ujjain division through video conferencing. During the conference, ratings were given to different districts regarding the law and order situation of the entire state and the entire crime. In this, Ujjain has been placed at number one, which was assessed regarding law and order. 

Sources in Ujjain police said that CM Chouhan has praised the officers. Apart from this, instructions have also been given to do better work in future. Similarly, other cities have also got first, second and third place in different categories. It is noteworthy that on the instructions of the state government, a campaign was also launched against the mafia. Talking about the Ujjain district, the houses of more than 70 criminals were demolished here. Strict action like Rasuka was also taken against those who disturbed communal harmony. Moreover, serious crimes have also been reduced here compared to last year. In the year 2020, there were 43 murders in Ujjain. This time this figure has been reduced by 29. Thus looking at the graph of crimes, Ujjain has got the number one place. 

Ujjain Police has registered 34 cases and arrested 70 accused while taking action against the drug trade under the NDPS Act. Police seized 2.5 quintals of ganja, 240 grams of smack, and 100 grams of brown sugar from the accused. The estimated cost of this intoxicant in the international market is about one crore 4 lakh rupees. Ujjain Police has also registered a total of 231 cases against dangerous criminals under the District Magistrate and NSA Act. The police took strict action against the chit fund companies and broke their 435 houses built from the illegal property. Along with these, taking action in 95% of cases of crimes related to women, 195 cases have been registered under the Arms Act.
