NEW DELHI: The government announced SOPs for partial reopening of schools for students of classes 9-12 from September 21. The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued guidelines for students, to visit schools from September 21 for taking teachers’ guidance with parents’ consent.  In the wake of Coronavirus pandemic, Schools and Colleges had been shut since march.

Key Guidelines:

  • Student-teacher interaction will take place in a staggered manner.
  • These SOPs are in addition to specific measures that will be taken when schools allow students to come for guidance purpose.
  • These will also apply to skill or entrepreneurship institutions, higher educational institutions conducting doctoral courses and post graduate studies.

Physical distancing in classrooms, staff rooms
