Washington: President Donald Trump announced on Friday that the US will donate ventilators to India to fight the coronavirus pandemic. Donald Trump also announced that the United States and India are cooperating on the coronavirus vaccine.

Taking it to his twitter handle, Donald Trump said, “I am proud to announce that the United States will donate ventilators to our friends in India. We stand with India and @narendramodi during this pandemic. We’re also cooperating on vaccine development. Together we will beat the invisible enemy!”

Earlier, On Trump’s “request”, India had lifted temporary ban on the export of hydroxychloroquine, an anti malaria drug. The drug had been touted by US President Donald Trump among others as a potential “game changer” in the fight against Covid_19.

Meanwhile On Friday Morning, India has seen a surge of 3,920 taking the total tally of infected people to 85920 in the country whereas US has has now confirmed a total of 1,442,924 cases and 87,493 death toll.
