Uttar Pradesh: CM Deploys Forces to Detain COVID Spread the State; Issues Guidelines

Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given strict instructions to DM, SP, and ASP across the state through video conferencing over the growing corona issue.
The CM gave guidelines on issues of corona infection, prevention of sale of spurious and illicit liquor, peace system in the wake of panchayat elections, and Holi festival. He directed to formulate a special action plan for Lucknow, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, and western Uttar Pradesh.
Addressing the rise in infections. CM Yogi said,“Corona infection conditions in many states are deteriorating once again. We have to imbibe the mantra of ‘Test, Trace and Treat’.” Tracing up to a minimum of 15 people who have been in contact with infection confirmed is advised. Focused testing is ordered between March 23 and 27 in the wake of Holi. Rapid antigen test arrangements should be made more effective at all transport platforms. Masks are mandated and social distancing is imposed strictly.
He further said,”corona vaccine is a valuable resource. Not a single dose of the vaccine is wasted. Effective measures should be taken to increase the RT PCR test to 50% in total daily tests. “
