The Chintan Shivir is organized as part of an endeavor that deals with policy formulation perspectives on the country’s internal security. This will be carried out in accordance with the ‘panch pran’ goal that PM Modi announced during his Independence day speech. It is expected that this Shivir will help in bringing more cooperative federalism among state and centre stakeholders.

It plans on focussing on issues that will help India achieve the goal of ‘panch pran’ in the next 25 years. Some of its visionaries include increased use of IT in the criminal justice system, women’s safety, modernization of police forces, land border management, cybercrime management, drug trafficking, and coastal security among others.
