Floating on social media, the video features PM Modi and MP Assaduddin Owaisi in the frame, where the narrator mocks the latter politician. A fact check does reveal the establishment of the Statue of Equality dedicated to Saint Sri Ramanujacharya, not sponsored by the Centre.

The video which floated on Twitter was also shared by Giriraj Singh, a BJP leader and Minister of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Development. The clipping captioned in Hindi read- Ab Aya Unt Pahad Ke Neeche- Which meant Now he has been cut down to size. The ‘he’ is being referred to MP Assaduddin Owaisi who has a strong foothold in Hyderabad.

Another user mocking Asaduddin posted the video on his Twitter handle writing- Modi Ji is building a grand divine 216 feet high “Statue of Equality” of great ascetic saint “Ramanujacharya” next to Owaisi’s house. Whom you hate, now see it every day- in Hindi.

Taking a cue from the term Statue of Equality, research was held by various sources where information on the statue was discovered.
