Virat Kohli Becomes Only Indian to Reach 200M Followers on Instagram

Former Indian team captain on Tuesday, Virat Kohli became the first Indian to cross the 200 million followers mark on social media platform Instagram. As a matter of fact Kohli, is the most followed cricketer on Instagram, and among sportspersons, only Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have more followers than the prolific batter.
Thanking fans for the love, Kohli on his Instagram handle wrote
“200 mil strong. Thanks for all your support insta fam”.
He recently relinquished his post as a captain in all formats, last year and a month later T20I skipper Rohit Sharma was named the captain. The 33-year-old is only the third athlete to touch the 200 million followers mark on Instagram after Lionel Messi (334 million) and Cristiano Ronaldo (451 million).
Kohli has been rested for the India vs South Africa T20I Series, and will now be seen playing the rescheduled Test match against England.
