NEW DELHI: As per reports, in the just concluded Business Advisory Council (BAC) meeting of Lok Sabha, it was unanimously decided to adjourn the winter session of Parliament sine die on 23 December 2022 instead of the planned scheduled. However, there are no such reports yet on the functioning of the upper house.

Meanwhile, a special ‘Millet-only’ lunch for members of Parliament of both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha afternoon has been prepared to mark the “Millet Year” today.

Earlier in the day, at the BJP Parliamentary Party meeting PM Narendra Modi laid emphasis on the celebration of International Millet Year 2023 and suggested ways to promote a nutrition campaign through millet.

The Repealing and Amending Bill was introduced on Monday in Lok Sabha and also passed the Anti-Maritime Piracy Bill.

The winter session of the Parliament began on December 7 and will continue till December 29, with a total of 17 working days. Sixteen new bills are on the Centre’s agenda in this session.
