Gurugram: Gigabyte Technology and its gaming grand AORUS, who are the association sponsors of Indian Premier League (IPL) team Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), have launched the team’s metaverse in a bid to maximize fan engagement online. Being a first of its kind for sports in India this move will help the team to get the fans even closer. This new platform will serve as one of a kind experience for the fans especially this time as they can’t visit the stadiums as the entire IPL group stage is conducted in Maharashtra.
In this metaverse, a virtual cricket sports stadium is created as distinctive as the curved facade of the spiral walkway at the front. There are exclusively designed panels along the stadium’s internal wall where the visitors can check out the players’ stats and try on their jerseys. Vibrant custom artwork evokes the unique spirit of Lucknow through dancers, musicians and place-specific details gracing the external walls of the stadium.
Fans joining the metaverse of LSG will have a unique opportunity to be one of the few lucky people to make the history of the metaverse and meet their cricketing stars in an exclusive meet-and-greet session in the virtual world. These lucky fans will also get a chance to win a real-life GIGABYTE PC by competing in a PC assembly game.
GIGABYTE India director Sunil Grewal was looking forward to the launch that will serve as a great experience for the fans, he said, “We at GIGABYTE are very excited about the Metaverse project in partnership with Lucknow Super Giants and XRC. We will be bringing to fans an immersive experience that will enthral them for sure. At GIGABYTE we strive to make our community experience future ready/ world-class products. And, this will be a perfect opportunity for them to know more about our brand and products.”
